I'm totally new to recording and workflows. Have started working with guys at Vintage King. Have purchased a Mara MCI JH16 - 2", ATR 102 2 track 1" , SONY APR 5000 in 1/4", and a Nagra D. Machines are all new. Want to definitely integrate analog workflows as I just prefer the sound. Would appreciate ideas about CLASP and Pro-Tools, and consoles> I don't initially think I will need more than 16-24 channels. Also have ATR tape on MCI and ATR. Any recommendations about using 14" reels appreciated. ATR can provide 14 inch tape but no boxes to ship the tape. I have no experience with RMG (which keeps 14")and would prefer to not have to rebias when changing 10.5 to 14 reels. Thanks!
