Great read. Gives very good analysis into why the UFC is becoming worse instead of better. I been saying this for a couple of years now. The UFC is watered down with too many fighters. Dana doesn't have to buy out every competitor and scoop up all of their fighters to make UFC the best fight promotion in the world. He just needs to have the best fighters and put on the best shows.
For me it's all about quality instead of quantity. I would rather watch 10 -12 great PPV cards a year as opposed to 30 below average cards a year. In a recent interview Dana White said they have 500 fighter under contract. Not counting the women's division (because, really why would you?) the UFC has 8 wight classes. that averages out to roughly 62 fighters per weight class. The UFC should cut 300 or so fighters. I don't see any reason to have more than 15-20 fighters per division.
