Vitor Belfort's random drug test in February has been the subject of much speculation. Shortly after the test, the Nevada State Athletic Commission announced that they were terminating all Testosterone Replacement Therapy exemptions and Belfort pulled out of his planned bout with Chris Weidman for the UFC middleweight championship.

There has been a great deal of talk that Belfort failed that drug test, something basically confirmed in the last few days by both UFC president Dana White and color commentary personality Joe Rogan.

Belfort is now back on the same card as Weidman's title defense with Lyoto Machida, now facing Chael Sonnen. The NSAC will have a licensing hearing for Belfort on June 17 at which point the result of the test will become public.

The test was prior to Belfort being a licensed fighter in the state, meaning that the results couldn't be made public until he applied for licensure.

That is exactly what will happen, per Yahoo! Sports' Cagewriter:

The results of that test, which presumably tested to see if Belfort’s testosterone levels were within normal and allowable levels, in addition to testing for banned substances, have so far been kept secret. Belfort’s June 17 licensing hearing, however, will reveal the results, according to NSAC executive director Bob Bennett.

"The test results will be made public, yes," Bennett tells Cagewriter.

"If Mr. Belfort appears at his hearing, which I’m sure he will, the commissioners will get to question him about any topics they want and I’m sure that will come up."

Bloody Elbow will have live coverage of the June 17 hearing.
