Hey All,
So I'm kind of new to this analog summing thing, but I've had a Yamaha 24 channel console for a few years now and am wondering if I would be getting any more character (if I can get any at all) summing through my console if I drive the inputs any hotter than usual.
Like, if I would typically just run the line ins and mix stems on the console at a low gain position, if I run each channel a little hotter will it make a difference in anything but volume? What do you guys think? Obviously I can just try it and find out, I'm just not gonna be around the console for a few days so I figured I'd see what others had to say.
Lastly I apologize for bringing up another analog summing thread.
Thanks in advance for any insight!
