Bought a PURE 2, received on 6.3.2015
Packing: Great packing design, relay neat and stylish.
Build quality: Build like a Tank, I did not expect such a great quality, heavy steal casing and aluminum front plate, all knobs
tight and a joy to use.
Features: It really nailed a gap in my studio:
The need for a dedicated clock and a converter to capture the
summed signal. Back to DAW AES out is my friend.
Use:
I do not like the registration process, its easy compared to other
online registrations, but i feel a hardware box should be free of that kind of restrictions. That is the missing Star in Ease of use.
An update of the firmware and panel was flawless and fast and automatic, I liked that.
Sound: I only have compared it to the converter i used before
for capturing the sum. Witch was a Neve AD add on board for the 8816. I liked its sound but the pure is advanced an a specially in the highs its easy to hear.
I can recommend this Box very much
