Audient I22 vs Steinberg vs RME

I'm in the market for a nice usb interface with 2 preamps and decent sounding AD-DA.

There are a lot of options, but I'm considering these three:

- RME Fireface UC

- Audient ID22

- Steinberg UR22 or 242



I'd prefer the RME because of the drivers and sound, but spending almost 900 $ is crazy to me. But I could look for a used Fireface 400.



The Audient looks nice and have nice specs, but I don't believe the specs anymore. I used to own a M-Audio 192 with AMAZING specs and sounded like shit.

I'm not sure about Audient because I think the ID22 is their first interface and I want to be sure that I will have support and drivers for many years. I know RME will have drivers for a loooong time, but Audient...I just can't be sure.

The ID22 is 450 $, that is half the price of the RME UC with same features.



But...If I don't believe the specs... maybe I just can get the Steinberg UR22, that is 120 $ and has the same features as the I22 and Fireface. I just can't find the specs for the UR22, so I guess they have to be veeeery poor.



So... what to do? Decissions...confoosed

Any experience with the ID22 vs RME UC vs UR22?

Any other better option?
