I have a very large basement that I am recording in, there is just a staircase going down it in the middle and thats it. It's unfinished with concrete wall and flooring and exposed rafters. I purchased moving blanked to section off the basement to have a dedicated recording area.
Here is a picture of the area with the black dashed lines as the moving blankets I hung.

The sectioned off area is approximately 13ft x 29ft and 7.5ft tall. I was looking into 703 fiberglass to put behind and above the drumset for recording and found a calculator that calculates how much I would need. Can I consider this 'room' I created the dimensions or would i have to get enough for the entire area of the basement?
Also is the positioning even good for what I am trying to achieve? Should I move it to another position in the basement?

Can I use moving blanked to create a 'room' in a large basement to use less resources
