Hi,
I have the luck to record in a 65 squared meters big room, so I started experimenting with stereo spaced pair for drum recording; drum at one side at the room, mics on the other.
I was wondering which are your techniques to "balance" the most possible the two channels, where two channels are meant to be left and right.
I usually try to set the mics at the very same distance from the kit and ask the drummer to give a snare hit to align them.
No matter this, the result (which acoustically is stunningly beautiful) is never well balanced.
Thoughts?
