Hi All
So I would like to buy some kit to make recordings at home. Mostly I'd be looking at recording solo piano but also want the option of recording vocals and acoustic guitar as well.
FWIR an audio interface is the way to go, and was looking at the UR22 but I've realised that for recording a keyboard (stereo) and vocals at the same time you would need 3 inputs which is annoying...and the prices take a decent jump.
I also looked at USB mixers as another option (seems cheaper & more inputs) but am I right in thinking the USB out is just a single stereo output and so you can't record into your DAW separate tracks simultaneously? Though if I take this route I suppose I may as well just get a non-USB mixer and connect it to my UCA202 and connect that to my PC...
This is mainly just for my own personal use so don't want to spend too much money, but want something that works and sounds decent with no latency issues or faffing around. Advice much appreciated.
