I'm filling in for a friend next weekend, small restaurant, background music, I need to bring everything myself. He usually uses just 2 speakers: one in front of him near the bar and one about 12 feet away in the dining area. Playing funk/soul 45 records.
I've got 2 tech 1200s, Vestax VMC002 XLu 2-channel mixer, Pioneer SX-255r receiver, 2 Large Advent loudspeakers, mic. This setup sounds fine in my basement in stereo. I just need to figure out how to best alter my wiring for mono.
Should I merge the stereo turntable signals into the left channels of the mixer with two Y cables, or instead do I merge the stereo mixer output into the left channel of the receiver with one Y cable.
Or, do I rewire my phono carts.
