Sounds of Different Synth Brands

I'm fairly new to the world of synthesis (been interested for a year or so), and I've noticed that certain sounds are associated with certain brands. For example, Rolands are often labeled "lush" and Moogs are "fat". What are the sounds that you associate with certain brands? I'm wondering about Korg, Yamaha, DSI, and probably others that I can't think of at this time. :synth:
