I am posting this thread here for lack of a better idea. Please move it or repost were you see fit.
I am setting up a stereo mic technique demonstration next Monday. I have a string quartet and a small choir coming in to the Ted Mann Concert Hall and we are going to track short performances simultaneously in AB, XY, ORTF, Blumlein Pair, and Mid/Side with Schoeps Collette Series Microphones through Grace Mic preamps to produce a collect of learning/teaching tools.
Has anyone done this before? Where else could I look for similar examples and audio samples? I am going to document the process to the best of my ability and bring in a photographer. I hope to make these files available to anyone interested in using them to teach.
Please give me feedback on this idea as the wheels are already in motion.
