Hey all,
I have a few tube projects I'm wrapping up (a mic pre and an eq) that take multiple windings I.e.250v, 6.3v x 2, 48v. I have several xfmrs on hand that have 250v, 9v, and 5v filamets. I also want to keep the eq in a 1u case and fortunately one of my xfmrs fits quite nicely. Does anybody see a problem with using one of those lm2596 drop down converters to bring the 9v to 6.3v for the tube heaters? Seems like a quick and neat solution. Has anybody used them on anything other than led's?
Thanks in advance
Dylan
