Tonight I heard Dana White say how he hates these fights on the mat. The loser of the match said he trained for a stand-up fight, knowing that his opponent was a great striker, and that was where he failed. Sounds to me like ground fighting by a good striker was a strategy that was successful.
Lately, the remarks from Dana White sound more like those I heard coming from the distant past of the boxing community.
