wow...i saw a big upset last night between Ruslan Provonikov and Chris Algieri (USA) , junior welterweights...chris algieri looked like a college freshman coming into the ring (former kick boxer)and looked like a sacrificial lamb, even to me, i didn't know about him but once again, a big heart, ring intelligence and the challengers ability to overcome a powerful one punch knockdown by outboxing and adjusting to the champions aggressive style made the difference..
CA was knocked down twice in the first round, got his right eye injured and still managed to get up and survive a russian nuclear attack in the opening round...really amazing...from the second round on, it was mostly CA outboxing Ruslan...although, it wasn't the prettiest upset i have seen, just the amazing feat of defeating such a little mike tyson kind of fighter is remarkable...kudos for CA...word has it, RP ate moose meat while growing up so he has amazing strength for his proportions...i recommend you all see this fight, if not for visual entertainment, at least to learn from it...how to overcome obstacles out of the ring, in this thing we call life...
