Hi,
I have tried searching for a software that will do the following, but I'm having no luck. I'm sure something like this exists, but maybe I'm not using the right terms. I've been searching for software samplers, but can't find anything other than some programs packaged with other DAW's. I am using the latest version of Reaper on a Macbook Pro.
Is there a software that will take an audio file and automatically assign it to keys on a keyboard. For instance I would make a recording of a C note on a bell set on a lower octave, and then another recording an octave higher. I would export each sample as a wav and assign the lower octave sample to C0 on the keyboard and the software would pitch the sample to the next 11 keys. I would then do the same thing for the next octave sample starting at C1, and so on. Also, if it could do velocity layers that would be great.
I've been using Geist Lite, but I have to do all of this manually and it's limited to 16 pads.
Thank you for your replies.
