I need your recommendation for a microphone for a very loud and bright rapper.
He is MOP style loud, maybe even louder.
The problem is that it is not english language, it is our native language which is very sibilant and he himself is very very sibilant and on cheap budget condenser microphones (>400$) piercing sibilant narrow peaks occur around 10 - 13 k when he pronounces the esses, and it is very hard to de-ess those peaks that varry so much from 9.5k even to 13k randomly.
Also his vocals are very bright at 3k region, but I don't find that a problem
Obviously I suppose that most recommended choice you gonna make would be SM7b, which I will try on him ASAP. Any other recommendations for an ubber loud and bright/sibilant vocal beside SM7b?
