listening to side 1 of LP1 of this great album....wondering what is going on with that 12 string acoustic mic/mix ( ie: on sugar mtn, track 1 )
it sounds like they have the low strings panned left, high strings panned right...but how is that possible?
I've seen the footage, pretty sure he is walking around stage. so there must be a couple internal mics? but they're not piezo because they don't sound like crap, like most piezo's do. and I don't think they had piezo's back then anyway?
it almost sounds like they have a phaser on it, panning L/R?
whatever it is, sounds great. some really nice stereo imaging going on
