Questions about Waldorf Microwave

Hey gang, happy New Year to all!

Making some hard decisions about the direction I'm going with some gear choices. A good opportunity popped up which is making me rethink some things.

I've never owned a Waldorf. Looking for something that sounds different to what I have: Roland, OB, DSI, Virus, Arturia.

I've been listening to a lot of demos and I have to say, on pure sound alone, the original Microwave does it for me. I've read some threads here about it so I know the XT has way more knobs and features, the MW2 added a couple voices, but the analog filter of the MW1 seems to make those wavetables sing, and the basses sound great.

Now, the UI isn't great. I know that. I have the Kiwi Technics Patch Editor, but I'm pretty sure that that only covers basic env settigs, filter/res, wavetable select, etc. sort of basic functions. Seems the more complex modulation stuff is not covered.

Can anyone who uses the Kiwi PE with the MW1 comment on this?

I'm not opposed to working with the interface as is, I'm a patient dude. I also have a BCR-2000 just sitting there.

Can anyone rec any editors? I use a Mac.

There appears to be cards available for the MW1. Are these just additional presets peeps have made? Are these used to save patches? I don't really need additional presets.

There is also some sort of way to add more voices? Or is it add more wavetables? I haven't been able to find this device. Is it super rare?

Thanks. The prices lately seem pretty high for what it is, but sure sounds nice, and from what I can tell, probably the most reliable synth Waldorf ever made.
