I was searching everywhere online and couldn't find a walk through or a fix for my problem.
I was having a slight rattle in my signals, especially lower frequencies in the drum department.
I only found two things that could have been the culprit to my rattling 421:
- The White Skirt in the diaphragm area was slightly bent up from someone else trying to get into it before I owned it. (I purchased 2 421's for 300 :))
- The HOT wire had a only a partial connection ( only 2 wires were connected the others were slightly off the Solder job.
After fixing these 'maybe' problematic issues, my problem was resolved!
Thought I'd share the news if any others have the same problem.
By the way, here is how you open a Sennheiser MD421
