Hey guys,
Tossing up whether i want to build the classic kind of studio, with an analogue board, outboard gear etc.., or whether i want just an analogue front end, with outboard pre's, comp, EQ's etc... and run a digital fader system like the avid artist series and what not.
What would you guys recommend?
Also when it comes to mixing, can i still route signals out of my DAW, through the outboard gear and back into the computer with the replaced signal, like you would on a typical desk, or would i have to create new tracks inside the daw and print the processed channels, thus creating doubles? and if so, how do i monitor the processed signals without printing straight away, if that's possible
Cheers guys
