Apple is apparently ditching Thunderbolt for yet another standard. This seems like really bad news for recordists because it means you can no longer have your external recording media on a separate bus. This new interface combines everything, including charging, on a single port. Personally, I think they should focus on making OSX as stable as it was in 2005 and stop trying to turn everything into an iPhone.
