I recently purchased a 2nd hand FCB1010 with the UnO chip installed. I'm not the first person to have trouble setting this badboy up and won't be the last so this thread can serve as an all-in-one troubleshoot for FCB1010 UnO users.
My setup:
FCB1010 UnO v1.0.3
MIDI I/O to Focusrite Saffire 6 USB
Acer Aspire E1-571G (Win8.1)
To say that I have one problem would be to undermine the process, I've trawled the internet for a step by step setup but nothing seems to work.
I would like to use the controller to operate my presets/stomps in Guitar Rig 5. I understand the basics of how to operate this pedal and have been using the Behringer FCB1010 MIDI Edit Utility (Ed Dixon) v2.99-2. I downloaded a template SysEx file and loaded it in and edited so that I have presets and stomp boxes turned on for each preset. BUT then it gets confusing, I've then saved my edited SysEx and pressed transmit. I dont know how to get my FCB to send out midi signal and therefore cannot get the program and the unit to "talk". This is my fundamental problem as I'm not clear how this software is supposed to operate. If anybody has any experience with this process please enlighten me, and are changes in the pedal supposed to make changes on the software (if it were in the correct configuration)?
I think one of my problems is that I don't know how to use the "Merge" function, is that supposed to make it send info back and forth?
