Hi there,
long time lurker, first time poster…
Trying to fix and mix this acoustic guitar but having problems with bass boom and high frequency 'tingles'.
Here's the clip (downloadable too should you need): http://ift.tt/1G2FUbF
What you're hearing is a pair of Rode NT5's and a condenser mic (not sure what!) and with no treatment here apart from a low cut at 130hz. I didn't record it myself but now trying to finish a mix of it for an EP. There will be female vocals ontop. Would like to take it in a more 'retro' direction (Linda Perhacs, Joni Mitchell) so wondering if you guys have any tricks for adding a softer 'lo-fi' or vintage element to acoustic guitar like this which sounds quite bright and slightly aggressive on the ears.
Any help greatly appreciated.
