MMA fighter taps out because he was beating his opponent too much

A fighter who was clearly winning an amateur MMA fight ended the bout because his opponent wasn’t tapping out and he was worried he would hurt the man.



It was a tremendous display of sportsmanship.



The bout took place in the Prison City Fight League, and Mike Pantangco was the fighter who decided to call it.



They interview Pantangco, too, and his logic makes all the sense in the world. The fighters weren’t getting paid, his opponent was too tough/stupid to end it, and he didn’t want to seriously hurt the guy. It was a class move.
