They are getting much deeper and more indepth. There's a lot more quality action and depth to a single match with this format. As they organize 100 more fights, more people will see how each fight has its own personality, intensity and unique flow. It also keeps the fight as a whole interesting, so fans of striking and fans of ground/grappling can get both in more ways. Yea this is like the difference between watching a 5 vs 5 basketball game and a dull 1 vs 1 basketball match (even if its pro). Yea MMA really is better as a 5 vs 5 team sport. Fighting in its essence really shines more when it involves greater numbers at the sametime.
