Henchman,
So it seems Avid is continuing to take a hit from a fairly sizable portion of their user base regarding their recent Subscription and upgrade "Support" models.
I'm really curious - ignoring the fact the PT is the industry standard - in your view what would apple need to add to Logic X for you to take a serious look at it for a moderately sized project?
It supports surround out of the box. They've added VCA's, although there is a bug/oversight when using pre-fader sends. You can import existing Project settings. Bundled plugins are decent, etc.
You see more and more accounts of FCP X used for some pretty serious work. I think it took a while due to the understandable skepticism. Will we soon be reading that a heavy hitter in the industry used Logic X for a Doc, Film, or TV Show?
I'm not evangelizing apple. I just know you're pretty in tune with what's going on in the industry. What's your take?
