So I just bought two Yamaha HS5 speakers, Auralex pads, and some Mogami XLR to 1/4 inch cables. These are my first ever studio monitors, and I brought them home, hooked them up to my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and tried to pla something... All that comes out is a super grainy, slow motion, white noisey version of anything I play, whether it be a youtube video or a wav file... Is there something I am supposed to do? I am incredibly upset and if anyone could help that'd be great.
