I normally do a lot more research before posting anything like this, but the research I've done on budget converters (looking to spend $400 new or used) leads to a lot of dead ends.
I only record vocals so I need one channel of AD conversion. What research I have done has lead me consider the ADC card for my ISA One -

I am planning on going to a Mac Pro desktop soon so I will be able to use a PCI-e card which broadened my options. I was interested in the Apogee Duet 2, but I feel I'm paying for conversion and a pre-amp. I could be wrong, but it seems I'd get more for what I spend if I go for just conversion - which tends to be available exclusively on cards.
I was just seeking input before dropping $400 on a card.
