This song idea was recorded through my home built Neve EZ1290 with a Royer MXL Tube Mod mic for the stacked up vocals. Guitar through a Crate V50 and a 57.
I don't normally record or play alternative but felt the need to give it a shot tonight.
Be great to hear thoughts on the mix and balance. Please disregard the immense lack of lyrical content. Whenever I scratch something out I just mumble whatever comes out on the fly. I guess I must have been reading too many church signs around Christmas... lol.
Listening to it, I wish I would have played the bass split with a direct line along with the amp. Bass seems to lack a little punch. That was the one thing I noticed right away.
Hopefully it doesn't stink too bad to discuss!
