There have been other post that touch on this but since there are so many new plugins released, I want to get a fresh take. Im really interested in finding a way to create a virtual "vintage studio" plugin chain. I understand that obviously mics and recording techniques play a big role in all of it but Id love to get some opinions on what you would do to capture a 60s,70s kind of sound using plugins. Ideally, I would get all the players in a room and get some mic bleeding which would help but I want to find a plugin combo that can get the sound as close as possible. Maybe send everything to a bus that recreates a vintage recording studio.

He is using vintage gear and going to tape Im sure but Id love to get peoples opinion on getting as close to this as possible using plugins and maybe some specific mic techniques. Some people mentioned recording to a cassette tape. Anything else like info on mics, or other gear that might help is also greatly appreciated. Thanks!
