Hello people.
I have just started working on a new project, which is supposed to lead in forming a new rock band. I am a guitar player and I have composed the songs. I'm currently tracking the guitars in my home studio, then I will track the bass, then program the drums (sampled) and do a rough mix. I will then upload the songs in search for a singer and a drummer. If or when I find what I'm looking for, the recording of vocal and drums (with triggers) will follow, in one of the studios in Stockholm. Then the drums are going to be replaced and the material will be mixed (maybe by me, maybe not) and send somewhere for mastering. That's the plan so far, more or less.
I had the thought of going through this process (that will take months) by creating some kind of a production diary, sharing info, samples and thoughts on a regular basis, and hopefully getting valuable feedback and insight in return. I would love for that kind of exchange to happen here, since this forum has been for me a valuable learning tool and a lot of questions are going to come up, regarding this project.
How does this generally sound? Do you think that maybe this doesn't belong here and/or is totally uninteresting? If you dig it, show some love. If more than two audio engineers (of the old, grumpy, experienced and professional kind) are willing to participate, I'm doing this. Otherwise I can ask for it to be deleted.
