I have a line on a Otari MX5050 - 8 track 1/2" for $600 in pretty good shape. I had the guy take pictures of the heads and pinch rollers, you can see everything here:

I understand the maintenance of these machines, I have a demagnetizer and am getting a calibration tape for my Fostex G-16. I am wondering if I can calibrate both machines using the same tape?
There seems to be a lot on these machines around, including spare parts.
Just wondered if anyone has had any luck with these and how they sound!
