Hi All,
I'm a drummer looking for good overhead mics. I do some tracks for friends and relatives for fun. I have a room thats 10x12 with a low 8' ceiling. Because its a hobby for me and I can't afford (or rather my wife won't let me afford  ) much gear I have the Shure PG series mics on toms, pg52 bass, sm57 on snare going through a Presonus 16.0.2 with Studio One for my DAW (which I love!!) I use a AT2035 as a room mic. I am currently using Behringer C-2s as overheads and I hate them!! I have a Mapex orion kit and Sabian AAX cymbals. I record mostly rock and blues.
What stereo overhead mics will give me the best bang for the buck? I have some in mind but want some other opinions. Please don't say C414s or something as of course they sound great but I can't afford them. :) I want to stay under 500$ US.
Thanks for your time.
