For Those with Mixing Knowledge

My capacity for mixing, this song at least, is at it's highest threshold as of right now. I feel this mix is the best I can do given my limited skills in mixing. It can definitely be many times better. To me everything sounds a bit hollow, the instruments (the drums, specifically. They sound like a blanket has been thrown over them) don't have the clarity I would like, and the vocals are very thin without effects. I would like the vocals to have more width or be thicker and more up front (the lack of these qualities is the reason why I added the low and high pitch effects to the vocals). Also, to me the mix sounds disorganized and maybe I compressed too much of everything. I could be overthinking this but I would love some fresh input on how to improve this mix, as well as some advise or tips that will help improve or expand my mixing knowledge. I would SERIOUSLY appreciate any mixing advise/tips, doesn't have to be related to the song. I'm ready to water my mixing plant again and place it out in the sun. It's time to start learning more about production again. Thanks and hope I get some feedback.
