Roland HS60 repair

Hi folks,

Dunno if I've ever actually posted on here but found I'd already had an account when I tried to register. So, hi, I guess!

Anyway, I'd a question more for my curiosity than anything. I'm repairing a HS60 for someone and usually I'd just replace all the VCA/VCF and wave gen chips but I decided to video the test mode on this one and see if I could work out exactly which chips were at fault. I'd a rough guess with this one but wasn't 100% on it. I'd also decided to experiment with the acetone trick with this synth and stripped all the chips of their coating and put them back in. This synth was in pretty bad shape when I started and the acetone trick did improve it a bit but it still has a long way to go before its fixed! I'm going to just order all the replacement chips from analogue renaissance anyway for it but wanted to post it and see if I could get some infos on it just for the sake of it!

Here's a link to my video (please excuse the noise of my kids etc in the background!).
