Yamaha PM700 Mod

Hi all,

I've been absent from this forum for quite some time, but glad to be back.

I just picked up a Yamaha PM700 mixing console at a local eco-park store for a great price.

I tested out all the channels and everything is functioning perfectly, with the exception of a few dirty pan/EQ pots.

I am looking to use this board in conjunction with an interface to both record and provide sound reinforcement (although I feel like I'll use it to record/sum more frequently).

I noticed the board has been modified to a point where 12 switches were added to the space below the yamaha logo next to the program VU meters. I haven't gotten a chance to open up the mixer yet to see what's going on but figured I'd pose the question: any idea what these switches could be used for? I've attached a photo of the switches below. I've seen direct outputs as a common mod for this board, but I'm not sure that's the case here, seeing as there are no additional outputs on the rear panel.

As far as interfaces/converters, I have an Alesis io26 that I could use, but was looking into something like a Motu HD192 that could convert/record all 12 XLR inputs... suggestions on this front would be appreciated as well.

So.... any ideas?
