Best and simplest way to trigger drums?

Could anyone advise on how to trigger drums in Pro Tools?

Is there a function to create a midi track from recorded audio or do I need a dedicated software?



I also have access to Roland RTK10 drum triggers, but have never tried, and as I understand , these are meant to send the signal to a sound module, they don't have a midi input.
