How to connect Symphony to Avocet 1

Hello I have just bought an avocet 1 and I have several doubts about the connections.



Analog



I have connected output 1-2 from symphony to Analog input 1-2 avocet and It works .



Digitally (here is where I have the problem)



I have connected output Aes Dsub 25 symphony to Xlr DAW Avocet (obviously with a suitable cable) I have selected DAW in remote control but it doesn´t sound. The meters of avocet don´t show anything.



In the virtual mixer from apogee symphony I have ADAT 1-2 working because I can see it in the meters from ADAT 1-2.



I don´t know what can be it?



Learning the manual again I have seen that at the back from rack avocet there is a small swicht to select SPdif, 1 wire, 2 wire could be it?



another question is:



in my old presonus central station it had a screws to balance the output from the different monitors. for instance if you have two par of monitors and both have different level of sound you was be able to balance both turning the screws.

is possible to do that in avocet?

How you can get balance the sound between 2 par of monitor in avocet?
