In your opinion, what is the most "analog sounding" compressor plugin?

Curious to hear what you consider to be the most faithful compressor plugin when it comes to modeling hardware behavior and character. Not trying to start a debate, btw.

One of the problems I've faced with ITB compressors has been getting them to work across the drum buss and 2-buss. Often, they either suck the weight/low end out of the kick and snare, or they leave the low end intact, but narrow the stereo image and make everything sound congested and dull. In other instances, the kick/toms/bass will drive the detection circuit too hard and result in the snare sounding overly squashed.

The most common remedy for this seems to be using a sidechain HPF, and while it does alleviate the problem to a degree, I feel like I'm missing out on the benefit of using a quality comp across the entire spectrum. I don't have much experience using hardware, but even my RNC seems to handle buss duties better than most ITB compressors.

Not all plugins do this, of course; some of the better ones I've found:

TDR Kotelnikov

IK BusComp

Klanghelm DC1A

Boz Digital +10dB

NI Vari Comp

I've also been curious to try out SKnote's Stripbus V3 and C165a, and of course, the full DC8C2. I'm sure some UAD plugins do a great job, but I unfortunately don't own a UAD card.
