So we've got a few studer decks we would like to get running for the long haul, and there's a few things that we need that I am having trouble tracking down. There's a 2 track a 810, a mono block a 810, and a 2" 24 track A 80 mark IV.
The 2 track 810 used to run well, but it developed a fault with logic in the transport and intermittently gets stuck in auto fast forward. We're going to have a hard copy of the manual very soon, and my tech is confident he can resolve the issue, but for long time Maintenence, I'd really like to get an extender card, but can't seem to find one. The only other thing we need is a remote card, as the machine doesn't have one. We do have the remote and the cable.
The mono 810 actually runs beautifully, we would originally bought it for parts for the stereo deck, but couldn't fix the stereo deck with simple card swaps. Now we want to use it as a tape delay, the only problem being that it doesn't have varispeed, so we need to figure something out for that.
The a80 we picked up a few months ago and was a total score. Immaculate heads, and mechanically sound. There's a fair amount of recapping that needs to be done, and just overall set up, but it's difficult without a remote, manual or extender card. We have the remote, but the cable was hooked up to an SSL and we don't have the original connectors, so we need either a new cable, or connectors and a schematic for witing them up. I'm aware that the manuals are available online, but a proper hard copy would be so much nicer than working off a pdf
If anyone has a lead on any of this stuff, or any other advice, it would be much appreciated.
