We're building a small in-house studio at the ad agency I work at. We only need a single input for a mic and I already have a GAP Pre73 slotted as the pre. We'll only need stereo 1/4" TRS & a headphone out....super minimal I/O's.
We plan on upgrading later, but were just wondering what kind of interface would be ideal for around $200. Since this is commercial stuff, we want to focus most of the budget on sound quality/good converters. We do most of our projects out-of-house at local studios--this is just for easy and quick touch-ups, and clients do come through to visit.
I've been checking out these, but am open to other suggestions.
Scarlett, PreSonus Audiobox, Roland Duo-Capture, M-Audio, AVID, and the Steinberg UR-22 have most of my attention at the moment.
We currently run Cubase 8, but might go PT in the near future.
Any thoughts?
THANKS!!
