While I love and have no issue cutting vocals on my AMS 1073s, can't help but wonder if there's something in the same vein with a touch more in the high-mid air department.
Two alternatives often popping up seem to be the Aurora and the Chandler TG2. The former has piqued my interest, but the latter some say has more of an aggressive mid bump than an airy, high-mid one. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Any tips on this?
I realize there are many less dark pre options (API, Millenia, Pacifica, et al.), but I want to keep the mid punch and tight low end of the 1073.
