I've been renting my studio building for 13 years. I need to buy a place. I came across a nice little house in my city that would be a cool studio. It's zoned residential I think. However it's in a very commercial area. 3 sides of the property are businesses, the 4th is a residential house.
I'm not sure if I would call my studio a "commercial studio" I do lots of label work and my clients are "selected", so I know everybody I work with. I've kept my business low key.
This isn't a place I would would live in....this would be a recording studio. I'm worried about legal issues, as well as live drums and marshalls.
Is this possible? Anyone here done this?
Please share your knowledge and experience.
Thanks!
