ADAT and Scarlett 18i20

Hoping I'm not posting in wrong topic ;)



Scarlett 18i20 provides an optical TOSLINK out for ADAT. I was then wondering whether it is possible to link two Scarlett 18i20 together (with wordclock) and what would be necessary to configure in ControlMixer to take benefit of the 8 available preamps of the second Scarlett 18i20.



I've read many times Scarlett 18i20 could be linked to an OctoPre MKII, they're even sold in bundle. Why do retailer propose this bundle ?
