Can you get a good drum recording from a bad room?

I'm looking into if you can get a good drum recording from a home studio with a bad room. I"m looking into mainly drum replacement and people opinions on what makes a drum sound professional. I'd like to hear peoples opinions on the matter, also if you have or know of and example of what you consider a professional drum recording like I'd be interested to listen, be it in a full production or just drums.
