I hope I can ask this question here. 5 years ago or so, I had a song that I wanted some vinyl scratch on.
I had this classmate that did that sort of stuff, and I asked him if he could help me out with the part of my song that needed the scratch.
Below is what he gave me, and what I wanted/did with, so he did leave out quite a bit, and it's quite the difference.
Now I wanna use it, but the guy cut all contact with me and stopped responding to textmessages and calls, and I haven't been able to contact him since then.
I've downloaded a bunch of scratch samples and I'm trying to recreate what I did before (because I don't have the track without samples), but it takes forever to get something close to what I want since the quaility, etc., varies between samples.
Think I can recut and use it?
Or is it back to going through a million different samples?
And before I posted this I spent more hours trying to make something better, but the samples aren't really up to scratch (pun semi-intended)
I guess I could ask in the hip-hop forum, I dunno.
