I've had some pretty serious differences of opinion about mastering since I started this project. I tried farming it out to a half dozen guys. In the end, I had to take a radically different approach.
It's done now, and first single released today, so just wondering...
How do ME's hear this track? What sort of equipment would you guess was used? Monitoring?
Does it sound like traditional mastering techniques were used? Does the mastering sound particularly modern? Does it just sound like crap?
It was very difficult removing myself to make the mastering decisions, so interested to hear whether me taking a WAY outside the lines approach makes for a better, worse, or just different sound.
