Hi Guys,
I am using Shure SM7b > Presonus Audiobox USB Interface to record my vocals. And I did a lot of researches about the mic and what I've found is many people saying it has a really low signal and you need a preamp. But when I raise the gain from my interface, the signal is becoming too hot. But in the normal level signal I don't really like the performance of the microphone. The result is so far from other examples that I've watched on youtube. How can I get a decent performance without getin' overdrive signal? What is the decent db for recording vocals? Why isn't my Sm7b hasn't low signal? Even when my pre gain is -10 db I can still get signals while other people need +60 db gain
Looking forward to any help.
Thanks in advance
Regards
