Though they really should turn the dancers into team fighters. TFC with men's and women's divisions would make things a whole lot better.
Just using women as dancers/announcers does very little for the core product. As women's MMA has shown, female fighters can draw in more sales and fans than just ring card girls and refs. And obviously there are always female street fights going on in the world.
TFC really has a goldmine opportunity with this. Even though traditionalist MMA fans don't see the revolutionary qualities this new genre brings to the table, it can be widely accepted. It doesn't need to be a WWE to have team fights, and we all know how much money and fans WWE is making.
And TFC is better because like MMA it's real team fighting, which is more intense and action packed than 1 vs. 1.
Would football have as much fans if it was 1 vs 1 only? nope. While martial arts is highly measured by 1 vs 1 matches, the nature of fighting is not limited to 1 vs 1.
TFC looks to bring the best of both worlds and a side of the fighting spectrum that other organizations are too short sighted to explore.
Sure it's chaotic, sure it's more dangerous, but fans of street fights wouldn't want the fighting any other way. And it's actually safer and more secure than some juvenile fight on the street where there is severe intention to cripple or kill each other.
So street fighting as a sport is totally acceptable. Pro wrestling isn't limited to 1 vs 1 and while there are promotions that are 1 vs 1 only, a MMA themed sport that specializes in 5 vs 5 can work out fine and there are people willing to participate and fans that seek that level of entertainment when they are not watching traditional MMA.
